Sweet 17s

April 28, 2015 Well today was interesting. I woke up this morning at 7:45 because I had an appointment at 9:30. Then I had my last college american history class for the semester, where he talked about the 1950s. My English class was more exciting, writing detailed argumentative paragraphs and discussing paradoxs in our group. My teacher said the best thing today to me. She saw my book, "Poems of Emily Dickinson" on my desk, saying Emily Dickinson was one of her favorite poets and then remarking that we were "kindred spirits". I love her, she's amazing. Anyway, next I had ballet class that I had to sit through because I have a boot on my foot but it's okay because today was Piper's 17th birthday so her mom (our ballet teacher) brought the whole class cupcakes and we did our birthday ritual (sorry guys, it's top secret). It was great. :)

April 16, 2015 Yesterday I woke up at 7:25 and got ready because I had a doctor's appointment at 8:50. Such an odd time for an appointment don't you think? Anyway, then I went home and watched thirty minutes of criminal minds until I had to leave for class. I grabbed lunch on campus (papa johns pizza) and then went to my first class, American History. We just had a lecture about the end of WWII basically. Then I went to Starbucks and got a Venti Iced White Chocolate Mocha before going to English. We discussed our homework about the chapter "The Man I Killed" in the novel "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'Brien then analyzed a poem called "The Man He Killed" by Thomas Hardy. My teacher assigned us a paper due next Tuesday, comparing and contrasting the two. Next I had my two dance classes, Ballet and Modern. In Ballet we did bar work for 30 minutes and then combinations across the floor. In Modern we warmed up and practiced a lot of Cunni...

A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes

Have you ever wondered where the future might take you? More and more I've been pondering on what my future could be. I graduate high school in a year and the idea of being out on my own isn't half as "scary" (more confusing then anything else) as not knowing where I'm going. I've always been interested in the arts (theatre, dance, music, visual art, and writing) but I never really thought I'd pursue it.  I enjoy learning of concepts in history, writing, literature, feminism, culture, and how things impact us as people. I read different genres on different platforms because I find life, human nature, emotions, nature, science, math, history, and everything interesting. My biggest problem growing up was always that I was interested in too much. Although few would see that as "problem", it was difficult for me to decide what I wanted to do because I liked so much. Now, I find that I'm in the same situation. As my senior year approach...

"Getting To Know You"

Monday: March 2, 2015 Hey guys! If you're wondering about my title, it's a "The King and I" reference to one of the songs sung in the musical. Anyway here are a few things about me.... Reading comes as naturally to me as breathing. There's just something so exhilarating and magical about following a story, traveling to new places, and meeting new people through a simple turn of a page.  I can not read music.. I mean I can but I can't, like I know where the notes fall or if you play a notes I can imitate it back but if you just tell me "Play C",  I'll look at you as if you just asked me the question of life.  I'm crazy organized, like I have what seems like millions of notebooks, calendars and planners. I color-code everything, add sticks when necessary and list it all out. There is probably more caffeine in my blood system than blood, I drink way too much coffee but I can't help it that I only drink coffee on days that end wi...
