LAST FULL DAY OF WATAUGA :( Kyle and I went on a coffee run this morning together before breakfast and still managed to get there a few minutes early. I love him, he's a fabulous friend. <3 Piper's and my final class with Kim was actually kind of sad. We worked our butts off the entire class and it was very upsetting knowing it was our last one of the camp. After that we had a rehearsal with Marcus to run through Laquimah's dance since she was gone this entire week. Yeah it was uh interesting to say the least because we hadn't practiced at all previously. Regardless, our last Interdisciplinary class was a photo shoot of our wearable and I held my cup on my leg which was in attitude while I read a book. It was cool haha. Next was rehearsal with Margaret to run through our ballet solos, it went pretty good. :) Our last Cross Disciplinary class was Stage Combat. Ugh. Mondays. It's okay Einstein's fixed that annoyance easily with a hot, large White Chocolate Mocha<3. Anyway, our day began with Ballet with Kim and then Jazz with Marcus. Then the afternoon classes were Stretch/Yoga with Marcus, Ballet rehearsal with Margaret, and Interdisciplinary (still working on our wearables project). Then Cross Disciplinary activity was music with Professor Halbeck, an aspiring artist as well as talent musician. She performed a piece accompanied with artwork that she felt portrayed the piece, and so our activity was to visualize while she was playing on a scratch piece of paper and then take our notes or drawings and turn them into an actual art form, visualizing and interpreting the music as we may. I honestly loved this project, it was kind of collage-y which I ADORE doing. First off, HAPPY FATHERS DAY! My dad visited me on campus and brought me coffee since in the morning we had "Open Studio" time so he saw me print pressing some projects for myself I wanted to do, along with Avery for a bit. After he left, I had ballet rehearsal with Piper and her mom which went alright for the most part. Next was t-shirt making and interdisciplinary open studio, so Piper and I decided for our t-shirts we wanted the quote "Wherever a dancer stands is holy ground." - Martha Graham. We actually researched dancer quotes and some funny ones came up such as : "No one dances sober, unless they are insane." "There will always be dirty dishes so you might as well dance." And some other good ones, I made sure to write in my journal. Last year we made shirts through the printing press but this year we did them through screen-printing which was SOOOO much easier and faster! After dinner, the activity was pool night which went ...

Piper's and my morning classes (Ballet and Rehearsal) went pretty well, sort of the usual as we have been doing. BUTTTT.... After lunch.... WE LEFT FOR NASHVILLE!<3 Our first excursion was to the Frist Center for the Arts, which was so awesome. The tour began upstairs in the craft center where they had fun activites we could do such as watercolor painting, animating films with toys and screens, drawing, etc. Then we went downstairs to the actual Italian Fashion exhibit which was so beautiful and unique. I really enjoyed it! While visiting the gift shop, Illy pointed out a Jane Austen mug and I mean I couldn't just leave it sooooo yes I bought it<3 ha. We ate dinner at Puckets Groceries which was such good southern food. I sat near Piper, Illy, Austin, and Kyle so we had a lot of conversation and funny moments (of course).
