Petite La Fleur

Hello friends. This morning for some strange reason I woke up at 7:15 and came downstairs to find that my mom was still home and that SNOW HAD FALL! Today marks the first snowfall for winter 2015-2016! It was pretty. My morning was spent watching YouTube videos and then organizing my life a little bit, looking into my planner and scheduling my week. Mom came home around noon so we all decided to eat lunch then. After lunch, mom and I sat down to complete the FAFSA! It was pretty stressful. It took us almost two hours just to figure out exactly how to do it. Then I did the dishes, some laundry, and took a shower. Since Heather and I have been going to Yoga this last week and plan to continue, I decided to paint my nails. (: It made me really happy because I haven't painted my nails in a while. Side note, today makers one year of Alex's going away party! :(

Last night I pretty much crashed around 10:30 and didn't wake up this morning until about 10 am. I got dressed quickly and grabbed some food, shoving it in my purse so I could go with my mom to her choir rehearsal. For some reason, I love going on Saturday mornings, sitting in the car and just reading. (: We had to stop by Walmart to get a few things and oh man was I sore. But it's so worth it. When we got home, there was a man in our yard, someone we hadn't seen before. Well turns out, it was our neighbor two houses down and his cat was stuck in a tree in our backyard. Very movie like, right? Needless to say, nobody could climb the tree because it was all wet and the branches not sturdy enough to hold our weight. So what did we do? We called 911 to have firefighters bring their ladder to climb the tree to get the poor cat down. Yep. That happened. So after all that nonsense, my mom checked the mail and I received an ADVANCED READER'S COPY OF Away We Go  by Emil Ost...

We had a VERY touristy day <333 1. Ride the metro to have a American University visit test run; Conclusion: We're driving tomorrow. 2. Eat lunch at Burger Tap&Shake and get coffee at Tenleytown Starbucks 3. Ride to downtown DC  4. Visited the Washington Monument 5. World War II Memorial 6. Lincoln Memorial 7. Vietnam Veterans Memorial 8. The White House 9. Took a full hour to catch our metro train back home because they were having technical dificulties all day 10. Ate dinner at a greek restuarant near the house, Plaka Yeah, today was pretty hectic but absoluetly amazing! Mom and I had plenty of fun! :)
