Hey guys, this morning was a bit rough because I had to wake up at 5:30. Dreadful, right? But it was okay because I got to Job Shadow at one of Clarksville's local radio stations, Q108 with Ryan and Gretchen. And let me just tell you, it was so amazing. I was only there from 7-9 am but the all of it was so much fun. I sat in with them while they were on the air, asked them questions, and even got to record a little bit that went on the air. It was awesome! :) I was also given contact information for Clarksville Now, which I might try to job shadow as well. After my mom picked me up, we came home and I started to do a bit of organizing with my planner and schedule and the sorts. Around noon, I ate leftovers for lunch and watched a criminal minds with my parents before everybody left the house (for work, errands, or hang-out plans). I stayed home, read a little bit of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea  by Jules Verne, drank some coffee and lit some pumpkin/apple-scented candles. It...

Today I woke up at 7 AM, ate breakfast, and did some homework before going to campus at noon.  For lunch, I ate rice with organic green beens and carrots and man oh man was it good! In English, we turned in our homework assignments and then were dismissed to go study for our test which is on Friday. In all reality, Channel, Emilia, Gabby and I went to the library to plan our Halloween weekend!  I LOVE HALLOWEEN.... it's just the best holiday ever! <3 Anyway, then Channel, Emilia, and I went to Government to finish watching "Runaway Jury". Today was also Channel's 18th Birthday!! So I bought her a coffee as her birthday present.  My last class was Ballet, which was fun and good and I mentioned the idea of going on pointe soon and my teacher said if I go a couple of weeks without any injury then I should be just fine to begin!! Which is exciting!! :) Sooo yeah that was my day!

Dentists Suck

Image
Thursday: February 12, 2015 I woke up at 8:45 and ate pasta for breakfast. Honestly, I was so tired that I don't even know how I managed to get dressed or pack my lunch but it was all done. I had a dentist appointment at 9:30, a filling, which hurt like hell. After the appointment, the entire left side of my mouth was numb. Arriving back home, I took an hour nap and then attempted (poorly) to eat some vegetable beef soup. On my way to History, I stopped by Starbucks to get a Venti Iced Vanilla Latte to sooth my mouth that would probably regain feeling during class. A lecture about the New South and how Industrialization played a role after the Civil War was the basis of class and afterwards I walked to the Starbucks on campus to buy a Grande Vanilla Bean Frappuccino. Next, English class, where we reviewed about the TCAP writing assessment, which I am taking next Tuesday. Then we were given the assignment to write and give a speech next Thursday before taking a test. After clas...

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday.

Tuesday: February 10, 2015 Sunday: February 8,2015 I actually did nothing Sunday, unless you count laying on my couch while on the phone with my best friend doing something? Other than that, I just lazed around, ate a spaghetti dinner with my family, and then we all watched The Walking Dead. Monday: February 9,2015 I attempted to wake up early and practice but I was just too tired and decided to simply wake up at 8. I threw on a  maroon sweater, olive scarf, dark blue jeans and grey boots then ate my regular bowl of cereal and packed my lunch with left over spaghetti, Hickory BBQ chips, Girl Scout coconut cookies and a Special K Berry bar. My mom and I left the house at 9:15 and got to the university at 9:45, luckily finding fast parking. In ACT Prep, we took a mock English test that was split in two sections of 30 questions each, and then compared our answers with assigned partners. During lunch, Channel went home to eat since her house is in walking dista...

D-String, Doughnut Sweater, Demi Plié

Tuesday: February 3, 2015 I began my morning at a solid 8 A.M. by practicing my cello for a little over an hour, hoping that tonight I will be able to come back to complete another hour or more. Currently, I'm halfway through the Cello Essential Elements Book I and just started Suzuki Book 1,exercise 2: French Folk Song. I mainly worked on the highest 2 strings the A and D string in first position and most of the "pieces", if one would like to honor a snip-bit of "Frere Jacques" as a piece, are pretty much on the D-string, hence that portion of my title. After packing up my cello into its case, I head downstairs to grab breakfast which included Red Berry Cereal and a glass of water while reading the 5th TOUCH novel, taking my time to enjoy my morning routine. I, then, rush back up to my room where I change into dark blue jeans, old faded converse, and a doughnut sweater with a vibrant turquoise colored shirt underneath. Promptly deciding that I did not wa...

Prima Ballerina

Wednesday: January 28, 2015 I have been dancing since I was three years old, primarily ballet. I was born in Landstuhl, Germany and that is where I first began lessons, however once I was three and after my brother was born we moved to Zagora, Greece where I did not take any lessons for about two years until we moved back to Germany in Schweinfurt and I began dancing at an academy. My teacher was Russian but had lived in Germany for many years and spoke little to no English, and although nearly all Ballet terms are French, being a six year old who used to speak German but now spoke Greek and English, trying to decipher a Russian's French in German was well, rather complicated. However, I learned fast and even advanced to be with girls 3-4 years above me in grade school. I learned under this teacher until the age of about 12 and we moved to the States. I began lessons at a nearby Youth Center, but they lacked the technique and quality I had become accustomed to. Then we moved a...
