Christmas Morning

Today was a bit of a lazy day. I managed to laze around all morning, reading Rapture Practice by Aaron Hartzler while drinking coffee. Then Alexander and I watched a Christmas movie while eating lunch. I came back down to my nook on the couch afterwards, watching a few episodes of Gossip Girl before getting ready for tonight's Christmas Service at the Lutheran Church my mom works at. (: 

If you don't understand the reference in the title, shame on you for never watching an episode of Friends! Anyway, this morning mom and I woke up around 8 am, ate some breakfast together and watched two episodes of our TV show. Around 10, we met with my Dad at the mall to do some shopping for my mom (clothes and shoes, which is fabulous since we're pretty much the same size and can wear each other's clothes)! We were done with shopping by noon so we decided to go eat lunch at Panera bread, where I ordered a Mediterranean Veggie and Tomato Basil Bisque with an Iced Green Tea. :) Stopping a few more places, we got back home around 2. When we got back I started back up reading Rapture Practice by Aaron Hartzler, but I ended up dozing off for about 45 minutes. When I woke up, I helped my mom wrap some presents before leaving for the Lutheran Church last Advent service. There was a meal (macaroni and hotdogs, obviously I only ate macaroni). ...

hey babes<3 I managed to actually stay in bed this morning until 8 am!! :) Woo! For breakfast, I had a bagel and a pear with some tea<3 Mom is getting sick so I told her to drink some white tea, since that helps the common cold. At 9:15, I woke up my brother since he had a doctor's appointment onpost. We all left at 10:30, his appointment at 11:00. Afterwards, we had some errands to run at the Commissary and then the PX, so we decided to grab some lunch. Coming home at 2:30ish, I spent my afternoon reading Red Queen  by Victoria Ayevard. Although I enjoyed the book and the characters were entertaining, I felt that it was extremely overhyped and very similar to other YA dystopian/magical books I've read before. Hopefully the next book will be better.(: I also managed to read In the Shadow of Blackbirds  by Cat Winter which I rated a 5/5 stars. It was so haunting and touching that I cried several times throughout the book. I  absolutely loved it!
