Petite La Fleur

Today is the day that I had my first workout in a gym. Yep. It's happening ladies and gentlemen. Katya is now going to a gym.  LIKE WHAT?! If anyone told me a year ago I'd be going to the gym in 2016, trying to make a workout routine stick? I'd say they were crazy. Today Heather and I decided to work on legs, butt, and abs. Which resulted in us being in the gym from about 7:30-9:15 and then took showers and got ready. Essentially we were done at 10:30.  She left campus so I went to the library to work on my Physics homework until 11:45 and then the UC to eat lunch. (:  In the first half of class we took notes on Fluids and in the second half we had a Barbie doll lab where we had to make a bungee cord for Barbie, do several trials to see how many rubber bands it took before she would hit her head on the floor and then use a formula to see at what height we could safely bungee jump her from the second floor of the Sundquist. Waking up at 9:30 would have been nice if I hadn't been woken up at least six times throughout the night. Regardless, I got ready and Heather picked me up at 10:20ish. We had some errands to run but first stopped by Starbucks. Where we actually ended up just sitting until noon, talking about a lot. It was nice but we probably should've ran our errands. Thus, we went to her house to eat lunch with her mom which was nice. (: At about 2, we went back to the mall strip area for Heather to get some clothes from PacSun and a perfume from Victoria's Secret before stopping by Walmart for me to get some things as well. She dropped me off at home around 5, so I decided to take a shower and put some clothes away before eating dinner with my family. For dessert, mom had made Vasilopita Cake which is traditionally made for the New Year. If you don't understand the reference in the title, shame on you for never watching an episode of Friends! Anyway, this morning mom and I woke up around 8 am, ate some breakfast together and watched two episodes of our TV show. Around 10, we met with my Dad at the mall to do some shopping for my mom (clothes and shoes, which is fabulous since we're pretty much the same size and can wear each other's clothes)! We were done with shopping by noon so we decided to go eat lunch at Panera bread, where I ordered a Mediterranean Veggie and Tomato Basil Bisque with an Iced Green Tea. :) Stopping a few more places, we got back home around 2. When we got back I started back up reading Rapture Practice by Aaron Hartzler, but I ended up dozing off for about 45 minutes. When I woke up, I helped my mom wrap some presents before leaving for the Lutheran Church last Advent service. There was a meal (macaroni and hotdogs, obviously I only ate macaroni). ...

This morning I woke up at 7 AM, showered, and got ready, to leave with my mom at 8:45 for the German Christmas Market at the Lutheran Church she works at. I helped set up her stuff at the piano and then we helped some others set up their booths as well. At 9:30 it opened and I began making my rounds for christmas shopping. Overall, it was wonderful! I managed to get gifts for my friends, family, and teachers. (: Heather, David, and Giulia came around 10:45 and stayed until about noon, just looking around and getting some food. My dad and brother came as well and I helped him with some shopping too. It was all over at 3:30 and we left around 4:00 after cleaning up. When we came home, my mom and dad left to go out to eat and my brother had his friend come over. My parents brought home some food for me and bought pizza for the boys. I spent the rest of my evening reading On Writing Well  by William Zinsser WHICH WAS GREAT! <3 ...

So now I know that Black Friday gets me extremely anxious.... This morning I woke up at 9 am, showered, got ready, and ate breakfast in time for Heather to come pick me up so we could black friday shopping. (: Our first stop was the Shell Gas Station on Wilma Rudolph, where we waited 45 minutes to put gas. Next, we went to Kohls where some gifts were bought for our family. And finally, the mall. The dreadful place. First, we went to Rue 21 and money was spent on $3 shirts and dresses and a $19.99 coat. Second was Pacsun, where $49 jeans were sold buy one, get one free but then we checked out American Eagle where Heather bought a pair of jeans and I ended up buying one pair from Pacsun and getting one free, so that was cool. Basically we spent 5 hours out, which was cool. But yeah :) Then we went to pick up David so they could go out to eat after dropping me off. It was a good day.
