February Favourites

Image
Saturday: February 28, 2015 Hey guys so I'm going to try this new thing at the end of every month, a list of all my "favorites" for that particular month. Enjoy! 1. Starbucks Iced Vanilla Bean Frapps They taste like Vanilla Ice cream through a straw. There's no coffee taste at all, a plus for all the non-coffee drinkers out there (not me, obviously) and on nice days it's enjoyable to have a cold drink that tastes like ice-cream. 2. Voss Water  Okay, I don't want to sound like some elitist  because I truly do not care about the fact that it's water from Norway, I really just like that it's a big bottle so drinking two of those a day exceeds the amount you should and the cap is more spill-proof than the average water bottle.  3. Marco's Pizza, Clarksville, Tennessee Probably the best pizza I've ever had in my life so if you live near-by I'd highly recommend!  4. Speical K Berry Cereal I usu...

Maroon 5 Concert

Saturday: February 28, 2015 Hey guys! Well as some of you may know from my  previous blog post  , I saw FREAKING MAROON 5 LAST NIGHT!  Okay sorry my keyboard just like randomly went all caps, you know how keyboards can be. Anyway, yes I went to go see Maroon 5 last night with my friends David, Giulia, and Nicole. They came to pick me up from school around 4:30 and we drove directly to Nashville along with what seemed like the rest of the population but David's driving skills laugh in the face of traffic so we got there in a timely manner.  First we stopped by Wendy's to grab some food but I wasn't all that hungry so just got fries and a drink while David and Giulia got meals. Then we parked in the back of a McDonald's parking lot, a few streets away from the Bridgestone Arena, and just walked the rest of the way. The concert itself was so amazing, Rozzi Crane and Magic! opened for Maroon 5 but they finally came on at about 9 and the concert was over ...

Quickie Blog

Friday: February 27, 2015 Thursday: I didn't blog about my day yesterday since I was kind of sleepy after my  40 Books Worth Reading  post.  But I woke up at about 8 AM to find out that my Dad had been in a really bad car accident last night when coming home from work so some co-workers brought him home then my mom took him to the ER. By the time I woke up, my mom was going to bed.  So I sat downstairs next to the fire place and re-edited my blog. Tell me what you think in the comments below! Anyway, then around 11:15, after breakfast and two cups of coffee my mom and I drove to my brother's school to drop off his house key, then to the library to renew some books of mine, and lastly to the university for my first class, History. Regular class, regular confusing lecture. Actually, I have gotten more accustomed to my History professor, but I still miss my previous one. Unfortunately, next week I might miss Tuesday's class since I have to take the ACT and ...

40 Books Worth Reading

Image
Thursday: February 26, 2015 If you're a hobby/avid reader than this is the perfect list for you. I've spent most of my life with my nose in a book and traveled the world, multiple in some cases, by a single turn of a page. I love the formulation of language and how words can express so much more than just meanings but also emotions and actions. For some, reading may just be a chore but for others like me, it's a relaxing pass-time. Never fear, the upcoming list is not just classics or "old-fashioned" books (although classics are my favorite), but I also added in plenty of teen/young-adult fiction. So without further adieu...  Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte  Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling Great Expectations by Charles Dickens (may not be everyone's cup of tea but I honestly adore it) The Outsiders by S.E.Hinton  Lily Dale series by Wendy Corsi Staub Promise by Eva Schloss The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold The Chosen by Chaim Potok Vampire Acade...

Lists and Lent

Wednesday: February 25, 2015 Waking up this morning at 10 was bliss.  Most of you guys probably realized by now I hate mornings. I mean, to an extent. I enjoy being productive but I do not like waking up early. At all. Ever. Regardless, I decided to come down first and eat some breakfast which consisted of cereal, coffee, a Special K bar, and water. My mom had already gone off to work and my dad had just woken up when I finished. He works the night shift at a factory in the town next to us so he's gone from about 2 PM-2 AM which means my brother nor I see much of him throughout the week, although I do a bit more now since I started Middle College. But then I went upstairs to take a shower, get dressed and do my makeup. Ladies, little side tip, if you're wanting volumizing hair, put a palm-amount of mouse in your hair while it's wet after the shower and then towel dry. It works wonders! Next, I came down to begin all my work. I always create to-do lists for the day ...

Geography Lessons During Dinner

Tuesday: February 24, 2015 Sorry I didn't manage to actually write this yesterday, it's just that by the time I remembered it I was crawling into bed.  Anyway, I woke up initially at 8 yesterday morning, came down stairs, opened the fridge and two seconds after my mom said "good morning", I uttered "I'm going back to bed" and promptly did so. I managed to actually motivate myself to get up around 10:30, changing into a pastel blue sweater (made by my great-grandmother), black pants, and black boots. I've gotten into the habit of doing my makeup now so it's just part of my morning routine.  Then my mom and I drove to the university for my one and only class of the day, American History. Class went well, we're just now getting into the West after the Civil War. Although I much rather preferred my previous teacher last semester, my current one is alright too. But after class I didn't have anything else to do so my mom drove me home....
