Memorable Dream



So this dream is a very particular one indeed, so bear with me.

The dream begins with a road trip with David, Heather, Caitlyn and me driving through the mountains. We're having a good time, with the windows down and music blasting. Partying it up, yanno?

Then we arrive to this cabin that Heather and David set us up to stay at for our vacation. When we get in, they both tell Caitlyn and I we can never leave. That we have to live with them forever and we'll all be happy together. Creepy, right?

Initially they lock me in a room, with a typewriter, plants, and nice olive wallpaper. So I think "Well, I can dig it." And so I just settle down and stay with them. Studying nature through my window, writing about it on my nice type writer and living with Heather, David, and Caitlyn.

Then, speed forward to where we're all 70 years old. And David and Heather insist that I have to leave the cabin. Of course, I don't want to leave, I've lived with them for over 50 something years and now they're kicking me out. Nooooooooo. I don't want to leave!

Well they force me to leave, holding my typewriter with a briefcase filled with my plant-stories and plant samples, and I'm left walking down this mountain, 70 years old.

Chapters 14-16 (Creature's POV) - Entry #4

After Frankenstein abandons the creature, other than our short encounter in the woods when Victor is returning from Geneva, we are not exposed to him again until Victor’s retreat to the mountains. In chapter eleven, the creature opens his tale saying he is not quite sure of the beginning of his being; his initial memories and sensations began with his retreat to the woods after Frankenstein’s apartment. Living off berries and nuts, the creature was confused but learning survival skills along the way, including how to set and maintain a fire. I found this lonely encounter may have been initially good for the creature because it allowed him to figure out his surroundings of this new life he was brought into; however, keeping in mind while he is the great, big creature, he is very much in the dark about life and society itself, and without Victor to help him, he was completely and utterly alone.
