Happy Labor Day Weekend everybody!!! (:

Today we (Mom, Dad, Alexander, Mark and I) woke up and ate a big breakfast around 9 AM. Then at 12:30, Mom, Alexander and I headed to Nashville since I had an interview (completely casual) with one of the academic advisors from AU (American University). We met at Fido's, a resturant, and just talked about simple things like the university itself and my interest in it and otherwise. It was pretty laid back and cool.
Afterwards, we met up with my Dad and Mark at Jackson's (down the street) to grab some lunch which was DELICIOUS!!
We decided to walk around for a bit and then dropped in the French cafe from a little treat. Mark got a Cappucinno, Mom got a Latte, I got a Vanilla-Cinnamon Latte, Dad got an eclair, Alexander got a Triple Chocolate Mousse, and we got 10 macarrons to share. It was a nice, simple outing in Nashville so that was very enjoyable(:
Xander, my mom and I then headed home while my dad and Mark went to Hooters to watch a football game and still aren't home yet, which is fine. I spent my evening taking a shower, finishing up some homework I had to get done, and spending time with the fabulous new cat, Darcy<3333 Obviously I named him after Mr. Darcy from Pride & Prejudice, a Jane Austen novel. Darcy is completely lovable and charming, hence his name<3
Overall, it was a wonderful day :)

Chapters 14-16 (Creature's POV) - Entry #4

After Frankenstein abandons the creature, other than our short encounter in the woods when Victor is returning from Geneva, we are not exposed to him again until Victor’s retreat to the mountains. In chapter eleven, the creature opens his tale saying he is not quite sure of the beginning of his being; his initial memories and sensations began with his retreat to the woods after Frankenstein’s apartment. Living off berries and nuts, the creature was confused but learning survival skills along the way, including how to set and maintain a fire. I found this lonely encounter may have been initially good for the creature because it allowed him to figure out his surroundings of this new life he was brought into; however, keeping in mind while he is the great, big creature, he is very much in the dark about life and society itself, and without Victor to help him, he was completely and utterly alone.
