SIDENOTE: In France, there's no such thing as Bastille day it's just the 14th of July.
For those who don't know the 14th of July is France's Independence day, similar to our 4th of July. However, for some odd reason, American's coined the term "Bastille Day" when really the French don't celebrate Bastille, they celebrate the Independence. Oh well, just a cultural difference.
Anyway, today I was suppose to volunteer at the public library but then I found out (once being dropped off by my mom) that it was only for those 18+... which obviously, I am not.
Regardless, I stayed at the library and read as well as got on the computer for a bit.
My reading challenge on Goodreads is set to 200 books and so far I'm at 100, which is right on schedule :)
Next, my mom picked me up from the library and we went to a fourteenth of july party from 4-6.
There was tons of delicious french food and very nice people with a good mixture of people we knew and chit-chatted with and some we didn't and got to know! :)
On our way home, we stopped by Walmart where I bought a really cute pair of burgundy/maroon shoes for like 7 bucks so that was awesome. And we pulled over the side of one of the main roads to our house so I could take some pictures of beautiful sunflowers! <33
Overall, it was a very pleasant day!
