Coffee Book Tag

Before I begin, I just wanted to say that I am currently sitting in my dining room with my cup of coffee while blogging this, so yes it is authentic!

1. Black: Name a series that's tough to get into but has hardcore fans.
I actually would have to say Harry Potter, because to my dismay I have met SEVERAL people who said they either A) Never read the series and just watched the movies (which is absolute betrayl)
B) Read the first book or two but couldn't get into them enough to finish, were impatient waiting, or already had seen the movies and "knew" the story
C) Though 7 books was just too many to read, especially since they mostly exceed 300 pages
Regardless, I'm a HARDCORE Harry Potter lover but there's that.

2. Peppermint Mocha: Name a book that gets more popular during the winter or a festive time of year.
Well the obvious ones are like A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens or How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss but I always felt that Narnia by C.S. Lewis or The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman were also very winter-y. I also feel that Harry Potter seems to feel more nostalgic while reading it during winter.

3. Hot Chocolate: What is your favorite children's book(s)?
Hands down Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit, A Series of Unfortunate Events by Daniel Handler, and The Tale of Desperaux by Kate DiCamillo!

4. Double Shot of Espresso: Name a book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick was a book that I got for Christmas and that I read over break. It was so suspenseful with many unexpected plot twists. It was great!

5.  Starbucks: Name a book that you see everywhere.
THE FAULT IN OUR STARS BY JOHN GREEN. Oh my goodness gracious, I actually really really REALLY did NOT like this book so the fact that I pretty much see it everywhere ( and I do mean everywhere; Walmart, BooksAMillion, Book Stores, etc.) is very frustrating.

*Going to skip Question 6*

7. Oops! I accidentally got decaf: Name a book you were expecting more from.
This may seem a bit of a surprise, but The Giver Quartet by Louis Lowry was not all that I was expecting it to be. Yes it was good, I just didn't appreciate how the 2nd & 3rd book didn't make much sense until the 4th book that tied it all together, it was just more confusing than anything else. Still, good just not exactly what I was hoping for.

8. The Perfect Blend: Name a book or series that was both bitter and sweet but ultimately satisfying.
The Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness was completely phenomenal and although it ended giving me more questions than answers, it was totally satisfying. I loved that series!
