Silke's, Hanna, & Tea.
June 3, 2015
Hello guys! How are you?
My day began with pressing snooze to four alarms before finally waking up. First thing I did was come down stairs to take out my 3rd load of laundry out of the dryer and put my 4th in, (I've honestly been procrastinating in doing laundry for about a month now without having to wear an item of clothing twice...it's insane). After putting my clothes away I changed into workout shorts and an old tee shirt so I could begin cleaning my room as I promised my mom. I began by wiping all my shelves, frames and overhead lamps. Next I cleaned all three of my windows and both of my mirrors. Then my mom helped me clean my carpet and then we vacuumed.
At noon, Hanna and her mom came to my house to pick me up. I accidentally gave them the wrong address (only off by one digit) but then Hanna texted me saying did you mean "...." haha. We were going out on a lunch date at Silke's, of course. It was great fun to have a girls lunch and chit chat, since it would probably be the last time we get to meet at Silke's. We made plans to meet at least two more times since I go to Watuaga June 14th-27th and she leaves Clarksville the 28th. We talked about lots of things such as Rossview (my old high school), plans for the future such as university and travel, family, her moving back, and things of that nature. It was refreshing to hang out with someone. As usual, the food was delicious and the coffee even better. If you'd like to check out Hanna's blog click HERE.
My mom came to pick us up around 3:40 and we dropped her off before returning home. When we got home, I helped my mom reshelve some of her books since she got three boxes full of primarily French and Italian books. I really do need to get back to learning French. I would love to visit if not live in France one day, but it'd probably be best if I could actually speak French...
Regardless, I spent the rest of my evening reading "Blue Lily, Lily Blue" by Maggie Stiefvater which is Book III of The Raven Cycle. It's pretty good to be honest. I read the first book initially because I'm going to participate in Battle of The Books this upcoming school year with my school, but it was so good I just had to finish the series. I'm half way through currently, so I'll tell you if the ending is good!
I ALSO ENDED UP DRINKING A WARM CUP OF TEA!
Okay guys, like really I've been wishing I liked warm tea for almost two years now. My friend Martina loves tea and my mom drinks it all the time but every time I tried it, I just did not enjoy it. A few nights ago, I tried my mom's Green Tea and I somewhat liked it. But tonight was apparently the night. My mom made some camomile and lemon balm evening tea that I got her for Mother's Day, I tried it, and I LOVED IT. So here I am, writing this blog with my book beside me and a cup of tea. You have no clue how excited I am about this haha.
Today, I spoke with Hanna about becoming an English major and becoming a librarian and moving to England or Scottland... The thought just makes me so ecstatic.
I hope you guys had a good day and evening! Comment below what you did today! :)
