Junior Prom

May 8, 2015

I went into last nights prom with no expectations, no real plans in mind. I decided on Friday I'd go to prom with my friend, Emilia and asked my friend Hanna if I could borrow her prom dress rather than trying to find one last minute. Monday, I bought my ticketwhich was $25. School was actually canceled on Friday due to prom although I'm unsure if it's because they realized that since Middle College only consists of juniors and seniors and it was a junior-senior prom, that almost no one would show up or since there are only 4 teachers and 3 administrators to be chaperones they just needed the extra time to set everything up? Either way, I didn't complain. Around 4:30, I began getting ready. Starting with my makeup, I applied foundation, concealer, finishing powder, bronzer and blush. Next I filled in my eyebrows and put a cream primer on my lids, deciding to let that dry while I did my hair. The theme of the dance was "Great Gatsby", which honestly makes my skin crawl since the theme should technically be the 1920s rather than Great Gatsby which is a novel, implying all us girls should dress as Daisy while the men dress as Gatsby, but oh well. I used a curling wand to get plain curls and then pinned half my hair up to do a half-half up-do (ish). Once I finished my hair, I complete my eye makeup, going on a subtle smokey eye and applied very dark red/plum lipstick. By the time I was done, it was 5:30 so I went outside to take some pictures with my familiy before eating some pasta and going with my mom to pick up Emilia. We got to her house at around 6:30 and decided to take some more pictures out by a trail near her neighborhood, it was fun and we had a good amount of laughs out of it. We arrived at the dance around 7:30 and literally danced most of the night away, only really stopping twice; once because Emilia got a really bad toe cramp and then again during the raffel. WHICH BY THE WAY I WON A FREAKING NEW TABLET WHICH IS AWESOME AND GREAT AND I'M CURRENTLY BLOGGING FROM AS WE SPEAK (TYPE, I GUESS). So that was great. It was actually a wonderful, splendid time. Emilia was an amazing prom date (we are both strong, independent women that don't need no man lol) and it was nice to spend time with some of my other friends as well. We danced so much that I'm actually sore today haha. But it was definitely worth it, I can say that I had the night of my life last night. <3

Doesn't she just look extactic?
We're adorable siblings... not really, but I can dream.
Love her.
