No Education For Moi


Hey guys, so yesterday was Friday and I ended up not going to school.
But not because I'm some juvenile delinquent, I'm sure most of you by now know I'm quite fond of school.
No, on the contrary, my mom had to bring my dad to Nashville for an appointment since it is a bit of a drive and he recently had knee surgery.
So I knew I was going to miss my first class, EOC Prep.
I did not, however, know that my dad's appointments would last until 3 PM, causing me to miss an entire day's worth of school.
Yeah, that was a great surprise. (NOT).
Since I did not know I was going to be missing school, I still woke up at about 9 AM, got dressed in a lacy lavender cami, elastic-waisted purple/black floral skirt, and sandals.

I started to get hungry around 10 so I went downstairs to eat "breakfast" which consisted of a warming up a bowl of rice while lounging on the sofa, catching up on recorded episodes of "Dancing with the Stars".
By 11:30, I realized that I was suppose to partake in a chemistry lab, so no sandals are allowed and I wasn't sure if skirts were permitted either so to be on the safe side, I changed into light washed denim jeans and black sneakers.

I went back downstairs to continue watching another 2-hour long episode and by 1:30, I realized I would not be able to make it to my Algebra II class. My mom texted me, apologizing for it taking so long and told me to email my teacher. I ate some hummus with bread for lunch and went back to the couch.
I managed to finish a third dancing with the stars episode (finishing at about 4), when my parents finally came home but my dad left right away to go pick up my brother from band practice so my mom could grab something to eat and go teach a lesson.
I finished my final episode at 6ish and ended up rolling over, taking a nap until about 8. My mom prepared some pasta for the two of us since my dad had a subway sandwich and my brother had chicken. Her and I watched two Law&Order:SVU episodes until I finally went off to bed around 12:30.
So yeah, great day. (Sorta).
Side note: Yesterday was National Sibling Day so,
I've never hated someone so much in my life :) (kidding).

Chapters 14-16 (Creature's POV) - Entry #4

After Frankenstein abandons the creature, other than our short encounter in the woods when Victor is returning from Geneva, we are not exposed to him again until Victor’s retreat to the mountains. In chapter eleven, the creature opens his tale saying he is not quite sure of the beginning of his being; his initial memories and sensations began with his retreat to the woods after Frankenstein’s apartment. Living off berries and nuts, the creature was confused but learning survival skills along the way, including how to set and maintain a fire. I found this lonely encounter may have been initially good for the creature because it allowed him to figure out his surroundings of this new life he was brought into; however, keeping in mind while he is the great, big creature, he is very much in the dark about life and society itself, and without Victor to help him, he was completely and utterly alone.
