Average Rainy Wednesday

My day began very regularly; I woke up at 7:45, got dressed in my high waisted black pants, a black collared shirt underneath my maroon sweater, brown oxfords and a brown columbia jacket. I was debating on wether or not to krimp my hair but decided against it since it's been a rainy week and it was raining again when I looked out my window. Next I put slight makeup (just eyebrows, bronzer, and blush) before going downstairs to pack my lunch which consisted of a pepperoni/salmi/ham/pepper jack cheese/ chipotle spicy pepper sauce sandwich, peta chips with hummus, strawberries and a berry Special K bar. I ate two toasts with Nutella for breakfast, warmed up coffee to bring with me to school, grabbed a greek yogurt and then my mom and I left at about 8:50. We got to Austin Peay around 9:30 and my mom dropped me off at the library so I could print off some worksheet for Chemistry. I had my first class, Chemistry EOC Prep, then Channel and I ate lunch together until 1:10. At 1:20, I went to one of Dr.Bailey (my voice teachers) classes, to sit in and listen to some AMAZING voices and was even allowed the chance to perform my "The Gentlemen is a Dope" piece which was fun and I got some great feedback about what to work on. I ended up missing Algebra since his class went over so I just went straight to Chemistry. There I was partnered with this girl, Elizabeth but goes by Liz, and we did an acid-base titration lab which was pretty interesting actually. After that, I walked with Emilia back to the Marks building and waited for her dad to come pick her up. I decided to use the rest of my time at the library, writing my previous blog which you can read here, and reading "Flowers For Algernon" by Daniel Keyes which is TOTALLY GREAT. Then my mom came by to pick me up and we went home to eat dinner with my brother and my dad. I had the chance to finish my English homework due tomorrow before dinner and on my way down the stairs I stubbed my fractured toe really hard and began bawling like a baby. I have a doctor's appointment for it tomorrow since my whole foot got swollen today and I have dance class tomorrow. I hope it gets better soon because dancing on it is really hard. :( But we ate dinner, a delicious meal of chicken and fries thanks to my mom. And now here I am, writing this blog and then curling up in bed with my cat, hopefully to finish my book as it lightly rains outside my window. :)

Chapters 14-16 (Creature's POV) - Entry #4

After Frankenstein abandons the creature, other than our short encounter in the woods when Victor is returning from Geneva, we are not exposed to him again until Victor’s retreat to the mountains. In chapter eleven, the creature opens his tale saying he is not quite sure of the beginning of his being; his initial memories and sensations began with his retreat to the woods after Frankenstein’s apartment. Living off berries and nuts, the creature was confused but learning survival skills along the way, including how to set and maintain a fire. I found this lonely encounter may have been initially good for the creature because it allowed him to figure out his surroundings of this new life he was brought into; however, keeping in mind while he is the great, big creature, he is very much in the dark about life and society itself, and without Victor to help him, he was completely and utterly alone.
