April Goals
I'm a pretty goal-oriented person. I enjoy making To-Do lists for my day so I know what I've gotten and need to get done. I enjoy making lists in general actually and I'm going to begin a new list on this blog, my monthly goals.
1. Keep my grades up
Being a junior in high school can be pretty challenging since it's the year of Language&Composition, Chemistry, Algebra II, the ACT and tons of testing which is pretty much what takes up the majority of most people's junior year. My goal is to keep and hopefully raise my grades this month.
2. Practicing
I try to practice Cello, Piano, Voice and French everyday but it's hard to when there are only 24 hours in a day. I'm going to try to keep my practice routine steady and balanced.
3. Eating healthier
I'm not going to lie, I'm not exactly the healthiest eater. I enjoy my junk food, fast food, and treats. I know that everything is healthy in moderation but I'm going to try to watch my eating habits and get some better ones.
4. Reading more
My previous goal was trying to read 5 books a week but between classes, lessons, studying, working and trying to help out at home it's hard to fit in books. Hopefully I can read at least 10 books this month.
5. Be more positive
I've posted several positivity posts since I began this blog and I can feel myself being a nicer, more positive person but I don't think there's a limit to how positive and nice you can be so my goal is to just keep on.
6. Blogging Schedule?
Okay, sorry guys that I have a question mark but this one's kind of iffy. I initially wanted to blog every single day for you, but I feel like if I do that then I end up posting odd content or boring content but I'd like to come up with a schedule of maybe at least 3-5 times a week and if I manage to do more, great but if not, that's okay too. What do you guys think?
7. Driving more
For those that don't know, I have a tremendous fear of driving. Lately though I've been driving everyday with my Dad and I'm hoping that by the end of this month I will much more comfortable with driving than initially.
8. Helping out around the house
I already have my set of chores but well my Dad just had knee surgery and my mom works 6 jobs (ESL teacher at APSU, ESL teacher at another company, piano teacher at APSU, piano teacher at home, music director, piano player at a church - it is a job not a hobby) so I'm aiming to help out a bit more.
9. Learn some new cooking recipes
I graduate in a year and a half, and as scary as that is, knowing that I'll be all on my own isn't overwhelming but I'd like to have some better skills. I can do some very basic cooking but I'd like to learn a few more from my parents.
