Something To Do
Hey guys! How have you been? I'm currently on Spring Break (shocker right?) and well I've been home practically all week. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but if you're like me, sometimes you just want to try something new because repetition is boring. Most of my break, I've been laying in my favourite spot on the couch, in front of my laptop, reading blogs, on tumblr, or watching TV shows.
But if you're stuck without plans over any break, here are a few ideas:
But if you're stuck without plans over any break, here are a few ideas:
1. Read a book
It can be your favourite book or one you've never read, trying going to your public library and check one out!
2. Try a new recipe
Now I'm no chef, but from time to time I like to look up foods online that are easy to make or healthy to eat, it's time consuming and (hopefully) delicious!
3. Binge watch a TV series
Find a TV show you've never seen before, start from season one and just watch until the last/current season. If you have Netflix, you're lucky, but if you don't, there are tons of free websites online that allow you to watch shows.
4. Explore town
Regardless if you live in a big city or a small town, I bet there's someplace you haven't seen or haven't been to, try it out. Drive around, take some photos, go on a walk, it can be very interesting. Explore from a tourists perspective.
5. Clean
Unless you're a superb clean-freak, there's bound to be something that you've been putting off or need to get done. Try tiding up your desk, work area, bedroom, dorm, apartment, whatever needs to be cleaned up.
6. Create
Surely you have some creative outlet, right? Do it. Whether it's painting, drawing, writing, music, dancing, do something. Get it out there, and if you don't have any inspiration, look around for some, you're bound to find something.
7. Adventure
This may be similar to exploring town, but if you're near a river or some nature, go adventure in it. Take a walk and look around, maybe take some gram-able photos!
8. Watch a movie
There are tons and tons of movies, watch an old one that you own, stream one online or go rent one!
9. Move the furniture
Sometimes rearranging things can be nice and even exciting, try moving a few pieces around and enjoy your new surroundings.
10. Make plans
Go out with some of your friends to a coffee shop to catch up, or invite them over for a movie night. Spending time with friends is always fun.
11. Study
If you're on summer break, you might not be keen on doing this. But throughout holiday breaks, refresh on what you've learned. Maybe read an article or watch a documentary on something interesting, you'll learn something new.
12. Try a new hobby
Learning a new hobby can be extremely exciting, whether it's playing a new instrument, creating a blog, playing a sport, or making art.
13. Work out
Exercise can give you a confident, empowering feeling and keeps your body in good shape.
14. Call up your parents or an old friend
Maybe a loved one is miles and miles away, trying calling them up and see how they're doing or make plans to visit.
15. Learn a language
It opens up more possibilities with people you can meet and communicate with and maybe even a new drive to travel.
