5 Things That Make Me Happy
While talking with Hanna and Ramona today (click HERE to see my previous blog post), I realized that there are A LOT of things I don't like. This may make me seem like a negative person, but I mean, I just have a lot of pet peeves as well as a really short temper. I've been working on it though. Anyway, I was thinking that from now on, every Saturday, I would make up a list of at least 5 things that make me happy and why. So here it goes...
1. Books
Every since I was younger, I've loved to read. The idea that there is a whole other world with new people to meet in between a binding a few pages, just astounds me. My goal is to read 5 books a week throughout the school year and 50 books a month over summer. I'm not trying to brag, I just really, really love books. When I'm sad, I actually tend to binge read books upon books to get away from my own world.
2. Photography
When I got my first camera, I would take pictures all the time. Now, with iPhones and technology, a lot of people do too but sometimes I get criticized for taking too many pictures. I just can't help it. I love that I can capture an entire moment forever with a simple click.
3. Notebooks
If I told you how many notebooks I've hoarded throughout the years, you'd probably think I had a disease. I still own my first diary that my grandmother gave me when I was about 5-6 years old. I love notebooks. Big or small. Writing notes in class is my favourite thing and I have tons of tiny notebooks. In fact I have a tiny, pink, pocket-sized composition notebook for my to-do lists for the day and another tiny notebook with trees and mountains for all my blogging ideas.
4. My Cat, Leo
In my family we have four cats. Our outside, "Guard Cat", Ashes who we found the day we moved into our house. Our King, Titi (Tee-Tee), who has been in the family since I was a couple months old and I love him. Zoe, my brother's cat. And Leo, my cat, that I got in September a few weeks before my birthday. I love him. He cuddles with me all the time when I'm reading or writing (like now while I write this blog). He's just so lovable and always makes me feel better when I'm down. I know, I know, crazy cat lady in the making, right?
5. Fall
There's nothing better than the brownish-red leaves and the crispy air in the autumn months. My birthday is September 26, so it's just at the beginning of fall and I love it. Bonfires, cozy sweaters, stary nights, boots, soft rain while reading a good book, just everything about the fall time.
And there we have it. Five things that makes me happy. What's something that makes YOU happy? Comment down below! :)
