Generic Monday

Monday: February 23, 2015

I hate mornings, I am not a morning person in the slightest. I don't like waking up later in the afternoon because then I feel like a lot of the day is gone, but at the same time I'd rather stay up until 3 in the morning and wake up at 11 in the afternoon than go to bed at 10 (as if that would ever happen) and wake up at 7. The point of this little rant is basically to say that I dreaded waking up this morning at 7:30 AM. I did my makeup and got dressed in a bright blue pull-over (from Edelweiss, a wonderful resort near the alps in Germany) and high-waisted black pants. For breakfast, I settled for some toast with Nutella and a bottle of water. Before leaving I made my cup of coffee to take with me. We drove to the university because my mom still had work today while all the school systems closed, so she dropped me off at the library because I had to get some work done for Math class.  By noon she was done, we stopped by the library to renew some of my books and then we went back home to eat lunch (left overs from last night) and then I pretty much sat around the rest of the day watching YouTube videos. Oh but we did get a phone call from the school system.. Yep, yet again no school tomorrow but I still have my college class so that's something to look forward to.Tonight my mom made chicken with mashed potatoes with gravy (it was delicious) and we watched The Bachelor (I wont ruin the episode but I was pretty upset! Meh! ): ). I honestly just can not take this snow anymore or the winter months, I just want July to come!

Chapters 14-16 (Creature's POV) - Entry #4

After Frankenstein abandons the creature, other than our short encounter in the woods when Victor is returning from Geneva, we are not exposed to him again until Victor’s retreat to the mountains. In chapter eleven, the creature opens his tale saying he is not quite sure of the beginning of his being; his initial memories and sensations began with his retreat to the woods after Frankenstein’s apartment. Living off berries and nuts, the creature was confused but learning survival skills along the way, including how to set and maintain a fire. I found this lonely encounter may have been initially good for the creature because it allowed him to figure out his surroundings of this new life he was brought into; however, keeping in mind while he is the great, big creature, he is very much in the dark about life and society itself, and without Victor to help him, he was completely and utterly alone.
