Back Track to Friday

Friday: February 6,2015

I had to woke up around 8 and quickly got ready, throwing on an oversized white sweater, leggings, and grey boots, before heading down stairs to pack my lunch and eat my breakfast. I made my coffee at by 9:15, I was out the door. My first class was ACT Prep where we just finished our Writing Assessment and typed a test analysis. Going to lunch with my friends Emilia and Channel, we ate in a booth at Einsteins until 1:15, then we walked to Starbucks to get some coffee and then headed to Algebra. Having Math and then Chemistry makes me very tired but it was okay because in Algebra we just took notes and went over our homework and in Chemistry we took some notes also. After class I had to go the Library to type up my Reflective Journal for History then headed back to the Music Building, to my mom's office on the third floor. She got off work at 6:30 and then we headed home where I made pasta for dinner and had a late night 2 hour practice, as usual.

Chapters 14-16 (Creature's POV) - Entry #4

After Frankenstein abandons the creature, other than our short encounter in the woods when Victor is returning from Geneva, we are not exposed to him again until Victor’s retreat to the mountains. In chapter eleven, the creature opens his tale saying he is not quite sure of the beginning of his being; his initial memories and sensations began with his retreat to the woods after Frankenstein’s apartment. Living off berries and nuts, the creature was confused but learning survival skills along the way, including how to set and maintain a fire. I found this lonely encounter may have been initially good for the creature because it allowed him to figure out his surroundings of this new life he was brought into; however, keeping in mind while he is the great, big creature, he is very much in the dark about life and society itself, and without Victor to help him, he was completely and utterly alone.
