Silke's Lunch
Wednesday: January 21, 2015
My mom is pretty much my best friend, we pretty much are together all the time since I don't drive and she works at the university that I go to middle college at, so we're always in the car and spend a majority of our time together. But if we ever have time to just grab a coffee or go for lunch to hang out and talk, we take the opportunity. Today, we went out for lunch during my break in between classes and my mom's break in between lessons. There is an adorable German bakery in our town, Silke's and it is absolutely delicious. Here is some footage I got today...
Sweets are my weak spot.
TRUFFLES MADE WITH ALCOHOL!!!!!
I ordered a delicious fromage sandwich with a side of grapes and a pepsi, while my mom had black coffee and a bread bowl lentil soup.
(I'm hoping to get a USB cable soon for my camera but until then you must suffer the bad quality of iPhone pictures)
After finishing my meal, I ordered a hot cafe mocha to go and it was a great companion to my following class.
While my mom and I are in rather deep random conversation, a women of about the age of 60 or so, approaches us from behind, circles our table and gets about 5 inches away from my moms face and says "Do you know me?" while staring intensley into her eyes...
My mom replied "Um, I'm sorry, no?"
Where the lady says "They call me sweet Mary, does that ring a bell?"
Again my mom says "I don't think so..."
"Oh, well they also call me crazy Mary too," the old lady says and walks away discreetly with her friend, of about the same age....
It was so strangely peculiar and probably the oddest thing I've ever experienced.
Other than that, it was a phenomenal lunch and to anyone who lives in the area and knows the place or of it should really try it out! :)
